Our high-tech client in Trollhättan is currently in an exciting and high-expansion phase and needs support from an engineer focused on systems safety. The department where the assignment is carried out primarily works with product-supporting activities related to jet engines but also engages in development and upgrades. A large part of the business is focused on JAS 39 Gripen engines, but stationary gas turbines and the development of next-generation engine concepts are also part of the operations.
They now wish to strengthen their full engine team with a systems safety engineer who will work to:
- Ensure and assess flight safety for the entire product and its system functions together with other experienced systems safety engineers
- Using FMECA and fault trees, as well as analysis software such as Reliability Workbench, analyze systems safety
- Continuously contribute to implementing improvements in methods and tools
- Ensure that customer requirements and standards are followed, such as MIL-STD-882E and H SYSTSÄK. Formal processes, standards, and thorough documentation will form the basis of your work.
- Troubleshoot, solve problems, and conduct investigations related to the use of engines in service or during maintenance/testing
- Meet and collaborate with customers, end-users, and other partners
Initially, you will need to spend significant time understanding the product (the jet engine) and understanding the company's processes and documentation of the systems safety activities.
Candidate evaluation will be ongoing, so do not hesitate to apply directly. The last application date is 2025-04-20.
Qualifications
To be a suitable candidate, we have the following requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar
- A genuine interest in understanding products from a systems perspective, how systems and subsystems interact
- A strong interest in flight safety and airworthiness
- Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- As a person, you are well-organized and structured, driven, meticulous, and positive
- You are a team player with a humble approach
Additionally, it is advantageous to have:
- Several years of experience in systems safety work, preferably with elements of software, mechanics, and/or electronics
- Previous experience from the aerospace industry or from working with complete engine systems and system integration in other systems
The position requires that the candidate undergoes and is approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For certain positions, this may entail requirements for specific citizenship. Background checks and drug tests are also required before the role is filled.
